Conocida como la Biblia del Oso, esta obra fue publicada en 1569 y representa un hito en la historia de los hispanohablantes, al ser la primera versión completa traducida al castellano desde los idiomas originales hebreo y griego. Su apodo proviene del emblema que adorna su portada, que muestra a un oso de pie junto a un arbusto intentando alcanzar la miel de una colmena, símbolo del impresor bávaro Mattias Apiarius. La Biblia del Oso refleja la riqueza literaria del Siglo de Oro de la literatura castellana. En su obra "Historia de los heterodoxos españoles", el erudito católico Marcelino Menéndez Pelayo elogió esta Biblia desde un punto de vista literario, considerándola mejor escrita que otras versiones católicas posteriores, como las de Felipe Scío de San Miguel y Félix Torres Amat.

La aplicación dispone de una interfaz sencilla y accesible, permitiendo a los usuarios leer y escuchar las sagradas escrituras de manera rápida y cómoda, incluso sin conexión a internet. Es posible pausar la reproducción en cualquier momento y reanudarla desde el mismo punto, así como seleccionar el versículo donde se desea comenzar la lectura. La aplicación ofrece un menú de opciones ágil, facilitando cambios en el tamaño del texto y en el fondo de lectura para una experiencia personalizada. También permite acceder a capítulos y versículos favoritos, realizar búsquedas por palabras en toda la Biblia, incluyendo tanto el Antiguo como el Nuevo Testamento, y establecer rangos específicos para optimizar los resultados.

Cuenta con un modo nocturno que reduce la luminosidad de la pantalla para facilitar la lectura en ambientes con poca luz y disminuir la fatiga ocular. Además, envía una notificación diaria con un versículo bíblico inspirador. Al tocar la pantalla, en la parte inferior aparece el nombre del libro y capítulo actuales; al pulsar sobre ellos, se despliega una lista completa con los libros y capítulos disponibles. Los usuarios pueden seleccionar uno o varios versículos para marcarlos como favoritos o compartirlos fácilmente en diferentes redes sociales.

El menú de búsqueda permite ingresar palabras clave para localizar pasajes específicos dentro de toda la Biblia. También ofrece opciones para ajustar el tamaño de las letras y alternar entre modos de lectura diurno y nocturno, adaptándose a las preferencias individuales para una experiencia más cómoda y personalizada.
